Attention Rising Seniors- Class of 2018! Believe it or not, it is time for you to schedule a Senior Portrait Session! You will be a senior soon so here is the scoop: Summer is the best time to be photographed! Here is why: High School Seniors have more time in summer than in autumn. Less school stress and more fun because autumn semester is very busy. We can photograph a wider range of ‘looks’ when it is warm outside. You may bring that cool varsity jacket, prom dress, boots, sandals, shorts and more! Most High School Seniors love how they look with a tan and so relaxed in the summer. You can even bring a buddy! There are discounts for Rising Seniors who sign up early for late June and July dates! Call today ! Contact me now for a complimentary meeting to discuss your High School Senior Portraits; we can set a date for summer if you decide I am the right photographer for you. These sessions fill up quickly! Come in and meet Kim- she will show you the cool stuff you can do with your photos. Here are a few shots from an EO Smith High School Senior that I photographed last year. Meet Ryan, a football star and great kid all around! We […]
Are you thinking of making a photographic portrait of yourself? Your family? Maybe you have a High School Senior in your midst? Planning for this portrait is equally as important as who you choose to photograph it. I have made a list of things to consider to help you have greatest success. 1) When you call a professional photographer, make sure you have seen and love this persons work. This is crucial. Take advantage of the fact that every professional photographer these days has a website or blog that shows off their style. If you like what you see… contact them. [Ex. When I first started out in photography, I had a client come in for their consultation for a wedding and asked me if I could make a photo in Photoshop of her and her fiance with their heads together in their First Toast Glass just like her mother has. She never bothered to look at my website and see that I never do things like that! If your face is on your head, I will never put it on a champagne glass unless it is a naturally occurring reflection. I love reflections by the way! I did not […]
Kim Bova Photography went on a photo safari to kick off the Senior 2013 season a few weeks ago with our new Senior Ambassador from EO Smith High School. His name is Pratik, an amazing talented computer wizard! We had a great time finding the right backgrounds and “the light”. We began in the studio and continued out on our safari through Mansfield Center and down to Willimantic with cool walls and natural backgrounds. Each senior has a unique session designed just for them! Check out some of my favorite images of Pratik. If you are a High School Senior this year, do call Kim to schedule a complimentary meeting to talk about your senior portraits this year! If you are at EO Smith, do seek out Pratik and talk to him about his experience with our studio! Create unique, personal and fun images of who you are right now! I look forward to meeting you. Feel free to leave a comment here on the blog!
As a Connecticut photographer, there is nothing more rewarding for me than documenting families in photographs that celebrate the important milestones in their lives. We all have them: new babies are born, first words to first steps; transitions to school age right through to the High School Senior! First job, car, and marriage are all huge milestones in our lives and it continues over and over, repeating through the generations. How important is it for you to document these milestones in your life? Your family is continually transitioning through and toward another milestone. Don’t take any of them for granted as each one is a result of much energy, commitment and love. Celebrate them all, document them through photographs; cherish and pass them down to the next generation to be proud of. Think about documenting your family this season in professional photographs that you will treasure. The time is now. Think about a photograph that documents the stage or milestone your family is at RIGHT NOW. Then, please call me!
I had the pleasure of photographing James on a cold but beautiful day in October. He loves mountain biking and is a talented cross-country runner and runs for his High School team. He will probably do well at this in college next year as well. Here are a couple of my favorites from our studio session!
Playing catch up! I have been busy, however, blogging has taken a backseat! But now I have more time to share what I have been up to! I had the pleasure of spending an afternoon with Zack, a really cool Senior 2012 from E.O. Smith High School in Storrs. I love the images we created. Here are a few I’d like to share with you.
