I had the honor of photographing Erin and Robert’s CT Engagement Session at Belltown Hill Orchards in Glastonbury last weekend. Since this beautiful couple lives right in the Orchard neighborhood, they arranged permission with the Orchard owners for us to photograph where no other people were. Plus, we were able to stay after the picking hours for the golden evening light and had the whole orchard to ourselves. How special is that?!? If you follow my blog, you may know how much I love photographing CT Engagement Sessions. Not only do we have beautiful landscapes in every corner of the state, but there is so much variety such as: farm country, cities, small quaint towns, beaches, and hilly trails and woods. Here are the 4 most important reasons why I love photographing CT Engagement Sessions: 1) Besides the fact that I have been a lifelong resident of this beautiful little state and I know many cool areas and beautiful spots for a CT Engagement Session, this is an important time for my couples and I to get to know each other better. I learn a lot about them from their session. For instance, I can see how self-conscious (or not) […]
Rachel & Ben’s West Hartford wedding was a blast, not only for me as the photographer, but for everyone who attended. Rachel and Ben were married on a beautiful day this past September. When they told me that they were having a traditional Orthodox Jewish wedding, I was thrilled! The traditions are so rich and beautiful and I was very excited to photograph it for them. The weather was brutally hot and humid, but we had a wonderful air conditioned Temple to celebrate in. Rachel and Ben, with the help of the amazing congregation at the Beth David Synagogue in West Hartford, CT, created a lovely day with family and friends in attendance from near and far. The whole feel of the day was one of warmth, love and happiness. Once the dancing and entertainment began – was wild and fun! I met Rachel, a very talented opera singer and teacher, through the photographic work I do for the Hartford Opera Theater at the Charter Oak Cultural Center in Hartford, CT. Rachel and Ben (a lawyer in Hartford) moved here a few years ago. They love the congregation at Temple Beth David so much that they decided to get married […]
Here is a look at a few details and quiet moments from one of my favorite weddings of last season. If you are looking for a beautiful venue, professional and helpful staff, check out the Waterview in Monroe, Connecticut. It was a thoroughly enjoyable experience. There was an abundance of natural light everywhere which I love! There are many large windows which made a beautiful backdrop for the ceremony, the bride and her details. Once it cooled down outdoors, the garden area offered me some beautiful reflected light for more portraits. Thanks for visiting my blog. I created this portrait of Regan while she was taking a few moments to relax before she and her new husband Jason made their entrance into the reception for their first dance together as husband and wife. They were married at The Riverview, in Simsbury, CT.
