Most people do not enjoy being photographed. I understand that, as I have felt what it feels like to be photographed and honestly, I did not like it either earlier in my life as a pianist. This is probably why I put myself “behind” the camera instead! But, it is very important to have a good photograph of yourself, especially if you are looking for a new job, own a business or have a web presence, plus countless other reasons. So, every couple of years I suggest that you update your head shot or profile image since styles change, you change and new content is always a good choice. Head shots in the studio are best as a good photographer can create lighting that highlights your best features. Choose an experienced photographer who will help you feel comfortable and confident in front of the camera. It should be a fun experience.
So, here is an example of a head shot I did recently. Meet Charles Eaton, a long time Mansfield resident who is in his senior year at UConn’s Fine Arts Dept.. He is a very talented baritone and will be performing the role of Papageno in Mozart’s, “The Magic Flute” this spring at the Nafe Katter Theatre on UConn’s Storrs Campus. Charles will be co-starring with his long time Mansfield buddy, Spencer Hamlin in this performance. I don’t have dates right now on the performances, but I will try to find out when it will be.
